Description

The PADI Open Water Certification is the most widely recognised and respected scuba qualification in the world. During this course, you will learn all the skills you require to dive independently of a PADI dive professional to a maximum depth of 18 meters confidently and safely.
Your course will be taught by an experienced PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer who has been diving for more than 26 years.

Over the 5 pool sessions, you will be taught and master the following 40 skills

• Put on dive equipment using the proper technique

• Giant Stride Entry
• Inflate/Deflate BCD at the Surface
• Buoyancy Check at the Surface
• No Mask Breathing Surface

• Regulator Removal & Recovery
• Partially Flooded Mask
• Alternate Air Source Stationary for 30 Seconds
• Swim Maintaining Buoyancy

• Skin Dive
• Snorkel to Regulator Exchange
• Fully Flooded Mask
• Mask Removal & Replacement

Air Depletion & Signal

• Mask Removal & Replacement for 1 Minute
• Exit Using the Ladder
• Cramp Release at the Surface (with a buddy)
• Neutrally Buoyant (Fin Pivot LPI – Optional)
• Cramp Release Underwater (with a buddy)
• Hover for 30 seconds
• Alternate Air Source Swim for 1 Minute (with a buddy)
• CESA – Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent
• Tired Diver Tow 25 Meters
• Scuba Unit Removal & Replacement at the Surface
• Hover Orally Inflate for 1 Minute
• Free Flowing Regulator for 30 Seconds
• No Mask Swim
• Emergency Weight Belt Drop
• Weight Belt Removal and Replacement Underwater
• Scuba Unit Removal and Replacement Underwater
• PADI Mini Dive
• PADI 5 Point Ascent
• Orally Inflate the BCD at the Surface
• Equipment Disassembly

After completing your water skills assessment, Confined Water (pool) Dives 1-5: five knowledge development segments, quizzes, and final exams. Your PADI Open Water referral will be signed off and you ready to do your 4 qualifying dives with us or on Holiday at a PADI Dive Centre of your choice.
